THERAPY/COUNSELING

Counseling is the application of psychological principles to promote and enhance cognitive, mental, and emotional health. It is a treatment for mental health problems that involve talking with a trained mental health professional. By processing our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors we better understand our patterns in life. The collaborative process of counseling creates the space for positive growth and mental wellness.

MEDICATION MANAGEMENT

Psychotropic medication management is a type of biochemical intervention. Our highly experienced providers listen to your symptoms and will collaboratively develop a customized pharmaceutical treatment plan with you.

NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT

Neuropsychology looks at how brain health affects thinking skills and behavior. Neuropsychologists use testing to evaluate, diagnose, and treat neuro related diseases and conditions. Types of testing that may be performed are memory, cognition, verbal communication, and/or motor tests.

Neuropsychological testing is a way to measure the cognitive skills of an individual. It is used to assess the mental condition of people who have suffered from brain injury, stroke, or other neurological conditions.

Areas included in testing are: the ability to think, understand, learn, and remember, memory, motor function (walking, coordination, etc.), perception (how well you take in what you see or read), problem-solving and decision-making, as well as verbal ability.

Testing helps to determine if your change in thinking and memory are related to conditions such as: Disease (Alzheimer’s), Brain injury, Emotional disorders like depression or anxiety, or normal brain changes related to getting older. Repeat testing is also used to monitor progression in diseases like Dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s.

GENESIGHT TESTING

The GeneSight psychotropic test is a genetic test that provides information about how your genes may affect medication outcomes. The GeneSight test may reveal which medications will be most effective to treat the condition adversely impacting your ability to be successful. The evaluation also assesses which medications are more likely to have side effects based on your genetic profile. This type of testing has been widely utilized by providers to assist with medication management

Dr. Boules and Dr. Boan incorporate knowledge of biology and psychology to develop a treatment plan.  These plans may include psychotropic medication, over the counter pharmaceuticals, vitamins, minerals and other holistic interventions.  Their plans are tailored to your needs and increasing your health.
